Prof. Dongsheng Yu

China University of Mining and Technology, China

Biography: Dongsheng  Yu received a B.Eng.  and  Ph.D.  degrees from the  School of  Information and  Electrical Engineering,  China  University of  Mining and  Technology  (CUMT),  Xuzhou,  China,  in  2005  and  2011, respectively.  From  2009  to  2010,  he was a Visiting  Research Assistant with the  University of Western Australia,  Australia.  In  2014,  he was an  Endeavour  Research  Fellow with the  University of  Western Australia. He is currently serving as a full Professor and Head of the Power Electronics and Drives Department with the School of Electrical Engineering, CUMT. His research interests include renewable generation, motor drives, nonlinear circuits, and their applications. He has published over 90 academic journal/conference papers and 2 books in these areas.

Prof.S.-H. Gary Chan

Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, China

Biography: Dr. S.-H. Gary Chan is currently a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST).  He is also an Affiliate Professor in Innovation, Policy and Entrepreneurship Thrust of HKUST(GZ), Chair of the Committee on Entrepreneurship Education Program at HKUST, and Board Director of Hong Kong Logistics and Supply Chain MultiTech R&D Center (LSCM).  He received his MSE and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering with a Minor in Business Administration from Stanford University (Stanford, CA).  He obtained his BSE degree (highest honor) in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University (Princeton, NJ), with certificates in Applied and Computational Mathematics, Engineering Physics, and Engineering and Management Systems. 

Professor Chan has co-founded and transferred his research results to several startups. Due to their innovations and commercial impacts, his startups and research projects have received local and international accolades. Notably, he received Hong Kong Chief Executive's Commendation for Community Service for ''outstanding contribution to the fight against COVID-19" in 2020.  He is the recipient of Google Mobile 2014 Award and Silver Award of Boeing Research and Technology. He is a Chartered Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (FCILT).

Assoc. Prof. Ata Jahangir Moshayedi

Biography: Ata Jahangir Moshayedi, Associate Professor, Jiangxi University of Science and Technology, obtained his PhD in Electronics Science from Savitribai Phule Pune University, India, with a research interest in Machine Olfaction, Member of IEEE, Life Member of INSTRUMENTATION OF INDIA, Life Member of the Indian Speed Society and is currently on the editorial board of the International Journal of Robotics and Control, International Journal of Physics and Robotics Applied Electronics, 62 papers in national journals and conferences, 2 books and 1 patent. His awards include: Best Invention in the Design of an Ergonomic Mattress Recognition System at the Inventors Imitating Innovators Azad University 7 Hour Festival in July 2018; 3rd place in the 3rd International Robotics Games Drone Outdoor Competition (IRANOPEN 2018) in March 2018; 3rd place in the 5th International Robotics Games Drone Outdoor Competition (IRANOPEN 2018) in February 2018. Best paper at the 5th International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Computing, February 2018; Best paper at the 5th International Conference on Robotics and Mechatronics, 2017.

Assoc. Prof. Muhammad Junaid

Biography: Muhammad Junaid received PhD, MS & B.Eng in Electrical Engineering in 2020, 2015 & 2011 respectively. He is currently serving as Associate Professor at the School of Electrical Engineering, China University of Mining and Technology. He also had previously served as Lecturer (Power Engineering) at the Department of Electrical Engineering, SARHAD University of Science & Information Technology Pakistan. His research interest is in the Alternatives to the SF6 gas and Key technologies for Fault Current Interruption using Vacuum Interrupters, Cryogenic Dielectrics and High voltage insulation. He is an active member of IEEE (Senior level), Chinese Society of Electrical Engineering (CSEE), European Society for Applied Superconductivity (ESAS), IAENG Hong Kong, & Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). At present, he is involved in 8 funded projects, have 2 Patents and about 30 publications to his name.
